Kim Kardashian, Kanye West refuse $3 million deal for first North West baby pictures

New father Kanye West is reportedly insistent on keeping the image of his baby daughter under wraps.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West aren't quite ready to share North West with the world yet.

The new parents have turned down a deal with an Australian magazine that offered a whopping $3 million for the rights to publish the first photos of their newborn daughter, Us Weekly reported.

It's unclear when the A-list couple plans to share snaps of baby North West, who was born on June 15th. The gossip magazine suggests that father West, 36, may try to avoid putting his daughter in the spotlight for a while longer.

"He was serious when he said North isn't America's baby," a source told the magazine.

Kardashian, too, seems sincere about protecting her wee one's identity for the moment.
The reality star, 32, reportedly sent out fake baby photos to a group of friends in order to see which of the members of her inner circle would try to cash in on the snaps.

Grandmother Kris Jenner has also kept pictures of the bundle of joy to herself. On an appearance on the "Today" show last week, Jenner refused to let Matt Lauer sneak a peek at some shots she had on her phone.
"I'd have to kill you if I showed you my cell phone," Jenner joked. "I'm erasing them all right after this."
